cheese
by the way guys any massive loss of weight in a short time is likely to be water not fat.
sorry to tell you mate but you are still a blob.
a good 6 months of hard training and dieting will see you some results, not a temporary water dump.
thatll pack back on in a month mate -

To chime in on the water weight issue, think about this. One cup of water (or pretty much any other water based liquid like milk or coke), weighs 8 ozs. That's half a pound difference, about every time you get a drink. A can of diet coke is still 3/4 of a pound of water weight.
So if you got up in the morning, and took a long piss, you might lose .5 pounds. You then drink a cup of water, so you put back on .5 pounds. You go to the gym in work out for 1 hour - 1.5 hours, and you sweat out 2 - 4 cups of water (very normal for an intense workout) so you lose 1 - 2 pounds. Then you drink a 32 ounce gatorade. At this point, you lost .5, gained .5, lost roughly 2, then put on 2 pounds. Depending on when you weighed, you would have have a 2.5 pound spread within a two hour period, with no net change of weight. I do this 5 mornings a week (but I drink wate rinstead of gatorade because I have the opposite problem as you, and need to restrict calories.
So, to make a terrible pun, don't sweat the weight loss. Unless you stay 3 pounds light, there is no telling how ou lost it, but it was probably water.
Also, for every gram of sugar you eat, your body retains 3 grams of water, which will cause as drastic a weight swing. So if you have 1/4 pound of cake and ice cream and candy at your nieces birthday party on Saturday, you might gain roughly 1 pound of water by Sunday, then if you ate no refined sugar on Monday, by Tuesday you might shed 3/4 of a pounds. That's based on 1 birthday party.
To make a long story short, water weight causes HUGE fluctuations that are very normal and safe in your body that have no long term effect on your weight, either positive or negative, as long as you are active and excercise, and don't deny yourself the water you need on a daily basis.Last edited by Jhemsley; 6/01/2007 10:33pm at .
