Ego boosting thread??
I will be lifting heavy again after my fight in June.
My previous maxes were
Squat- 315
Bench- 345
Deadlift- 465
Weight-175
My bench has dropped a lot but my squat/dead only lost a bit since training for the fight. Hoping to get it all back up after and get a 500 dead, 400 squat. -

Man, I'll bite for **** and giggles. I never keep a log of what I lift (not anymore), and I haven't tried a 1 max lift in ages, so here it goes.
Age: 38. Height: 5'6". Weight: 155lbs or something like that. Wee wee: I wrap it around my waist. That's my lifting belt.
Squats: 265lbs x 6 reps (so I guess my current 1 max is 300-something lbs). Usually I'm just happy doing 215 x 10 reps - or almost 20 reps if I take longer breaks between reps.
Deadlift: 265 x 8 reps (so I guess my 1RM is 320-something lbs)
Front Squat: 195 x 8 (have no clue what my 1RM is, and I don't plan to try do it... ever, **** no!!!)
Bench Presses: Shitty. 175lbs is my 1RM. The moment I try to lift anything beyond 145, my shoulders take a crap. Very painful. I don't see this changing anytime soon.Read this for flexibility and injury prevention, this, this and this for supplementation, this on grip conditioning, and this on staph. New: On strenght standards, relationships and structural balance. Shoulder problems? Read this.
My crapuous vlog and my blog of training, stuff and crap. NEW: Me, Mrs. Macho and our newborn baby.
New To Weight Training? Get the StrongLifts 5x5 program and Rippetoe's "Starting Strength, 2nd Ed". Wanna build muscle/gain weight? Check this article. My review on Tactical Nutrition here.

The street argument is retarded. BJJ is so much overkill for the street that its ridiculous. Unless you're the idiot that picks a fight with the high school wrestling team, barring knife or gun play, the opponent shouldn't make it past double leg + ground and pound - Osiris -
