Stregnth always matters. Whoever said that Wing Chun claims that it doesn't?

Alive sparring with uncooperative opponents matters... but so do training drills with cooperative opponents. There should be a balanced measure of both... would you agree?

Better maneuverabilty isn't necessary for Wing Chun. The opponent immediately opens themselves up when they get into striking range. Have you been training Wing Chun long?

I believe in some head movement. However, not to the point that it takes you out of proper Wing Chun body structure. Structure is everything is Wing Chun. The head should be held high to keep the torso from leaning forward and being top heavy. The center of gravity is held much lower than a boxer's.

The problem with drills is the predictability, as you know exactly what is coming. And whilst you are doing the technique it is unlikely the other guy is 'fully' resisting. By that I mean will become unpredicatable and do something totally random.

Also if there is an element of unpredicatblilty such as when playing Chi Sau, the context is still within a very narrow range - the other guy is not suddenly going to start throwing fast hooks, bobbing & weaving then suddenly try to take you to the ground for example.

Nick Smart may have stated that he regrets wasting 25 years training something, and he may be right, you just have to understand the meaning of his words.
He meant:
I regret not becoming a founding grandmaster sooner, so I could pocket the biggest pile of money in the organization (while teaching virtually the same things I said I'd regret learning).
Smart? GM Leung Ting is much smarter, actually. ;-)

OK, maybe Zena1 (knee to the face, gnarly) isn't too awful, but all the rest

Zena is not a name, zena means woman in Slovak.

Autodefence is one of the shittiest ex-Leung Ting Wing Tsun offspring school names I've ever seen and I've been around for a while...

Someone posted a link to an article on here a few months back..

Yeah i agree, Autodefence is pretty ridiculous....but then so are some of the training methods in Leung Tings System.(For example: Long elaborate chi sau sections that you learn incorrectly- until you reach the stage that you re-learn everthing with pressure, it's all designed too make you train longer therefore pay more money.)

Most iof the best WT schools these days seem to be outside of the IWTA.

No, Cro Cop has trained with Milan Prosenica, who is also affiliated with Autodefence.

Now this starts making some sense.
Milan Prosenica, nickname "The Giant", supposed multiple full-contact champion, was a student of Slavko Truntic, one time head instructor of Leung Ting Wing Tsun in former Yugoslavia. Information is very scarce, for example I'm not sure what kind of full contact tournaments he won (including the world kung fu championships which he won soon after starting to learn WT under GM Leung Ting),

but being a full contact fighter makes it very probable he got to know and maybe even train with Cro Cop - they're both from the same war-torn, once beautiful and most prosperous ex-communist region.
