This has been well-known already; it's part of the reason why the BMI is considered shitty for assessing health, rather than body-fat analysis.
Skinny people can still get clogged arteries and all that nasty **** that can cause major problems.
It also leads into the issue of fat politics, fat acceptance, and the presumption that thin people are healthier than fat people.

Yeah unless you're a sumo wrestler, a football player, or a heavyweight fighter I don't see how you can be fat and healthy at the same time. In other words, if you're not one of these, and you don't have a thyroid disorder, there's probably no good reason to even appear fat. My midsection is definitely flabbier than it should be, but I'm not gonna make up some bullshit about how I'm fit on the inside or whatever. I'm out of shape and I know it, and am starting to work on changing it.
