I'm going to start riding my bike for endurance. I see all these yuppie assholes riding around campus and think to myself "I want to be like that!"
But I'll have to wait until summer to ride it to school, because I got a job at a physics lab where I actually have to go quite a ways. Right now taking a bike with me would be illogical. -

I'll give you your list of comprable lifts when I wake up later on. For right now, resistance is not just resistance. By that logic you could benchpress 400 pounds as easy as 50 lbs. It's the law of diminishing returns due to physiological and CNS stagnation from a lack of increased stimuli from increasing resistance.

If you had access to a stationary bike, you could do what this dude does:

Man, if you had access to a place with stairs like a tall building or stadium, you can do this as well:

The street argument is retarded. BJJ is so much overkill for the street that its ridiculous. Unless you're the idiot that picks a fight with the high school wrestling team, barring knife or gun play, the opponent shouldn't make it past double leg + ground and pound - Osiris -

Summer down here is quite yucky right now, raining non-stop like if we were in the Amazons or something. I hate you now.

Nah, nothing like that. I'd ride my bike to the park and ride and take it with me to school and ride it to the lab. Right now my classes are right next to bus stops, so I don't even have anywhere to go. If there was some way to leave the bike at the park and ride that would be even better. But I have a feeling it would be gone by the time I came back.

Train to be better at what you do. If your goal is to do pushups for competition, then by all means your wrestling team will be awesome. However if its to actually win matches or progressively gain strength, then you're dead last.
