i think kali is very effective. the way it can be used for both weapons and empty hand combat is very usefull.

You wouldn't happen to be in law enforcement or security, would you? All I'm saying is that as good as he ways, he was still spooked by me as far as free sparring, and dud, I'm talking 1980's semi contact. I wasn't trying to say anything bad about escrima or kali, it just seemed like the Krav Maga of weapons in the 80's and early 70's. Sign up for a weekend and blame, offer it at the mcdojo. That said, there is a Krav Maga school where a bunch of cops beat the crap out of each other all the time in my town. Sorry to ramble, but it's late, and got owned at BJJ tonight.
