Don't mind them Deltaforce, most of the people here are just flaming idiots, MMA wannabees who watch too much UFC and narrow minded MMA's.therefore if you want to have a democratic forum, you should care about these simple rules.
you say you are a martial artists, ok so the first rule is to respect others, at least in my dojo i teaches that.
then i am not repsonsible if some fom my dojo the pc to joke, however we have to say that with the people that i have speaking to a doubt about this forum is a joke can arise unfortunately.
by the way an advice try to be more superpartes (this is the line of a moderator)from your reply people have understood at which side you are
if you are superpartes comdemn this behaviour and say sorry for all the abuses i had to stand

DF, what ARE you talking about? This isn't an MMA forum. This is a forum of people who have no idea what you are saying.Normally, I'd say I was grappling, but I was taking down and mounting people, and JFS has kindly informed us that takedowns and being mounted are neither grappling nor anti grappling, so I'm not sure what the **** I was doing. Maybe schroedinger's sparring, where it's neither grappling nor anti-grappling until somoene observes it and collapses the waveform, and then I RNC a cat to death.----fatherdog -

Great, thanks for asking.Love your sig, Doc. How's married living?
We had a lot of changes in a short amount of time; getting married, moving to another state and living together for the first time but it has been great.
The one issue with things right now is that in my new academic program I'm far busier than while in Davis which has made training more of a logistical problem. Oh well I was spoiled for too long anyway. -

ASIA,
AGAIN I DO NOT WANT TO DO ANY POLEMIC WITH YOU I HAVE BEEN IN OKINAWA AND I HAVE CONTACT WITH DIFFERENTCHIEF INSTRUCTORS FROM THERE. IN MY EXPERIENCE KATA IS VERY IMPORTANT (MORYO HIGAONNA,OSHIRO,NAGAMINE,SHIMABURO,NOHARA,OYATA DOJO NOW IS DECEASED)KATA IS CONSIDERED THE ESSENCE OF OKINAWA KARATE AND THE MEAN STUDY APPLICATIONS OF SELF DEFENCE, THIS DOES NOT MEAN THAT BOGU KUMITE' IS NOT IMPORTANT FULL CONTACT SPARRING (TO LEAR MA-AI ETC..) AND KATA ARE COMPLEMENTARY.

IT IS LATIN (WHICH I HAVE STUDIED),WHAT DO THEY TEACH IN US??????OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dochter
"what physics has to do with "sports sciences" isn't immediately clear to me"
YES BECAUSE YOU ARE AN IGNORANT (NOT IN A NASTY WAY,LITERALLY)!!!! FOR DOCHTER:
IN ANY MAJOR COUNTRIES INCLUDED IN THE US (I AM A MEMEBR OF THE AMERICAN COLLEGE OF SPORTSMEDICINE)THE SPORT SCIENCES MAIN AREAS OF RESEARCH:
EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGY, BIOMECHANICS (ALL BASED ON PHYSICS PRINCIPLES AND BIOMECHANICAL ANALYSIS OF MOVEMENTS),SPORT PSYCHOLOGY,SPORT SOCIOLOGY,SPORT PHILOSOPHY.
IT IS NOT PHISICAL EDUCATION YOU THICK!!!!!
REGARDING MY ACADEMIC CURRICULUM, I HAVE ALSO A MPHIL in SPORT SCIENCES (EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGY PATHWAY)SO IF YOU WANT TO ARGUE ON MY AREA OF RESEARCH PLEAS DO SO, I WILL DEMONSTRATE TO PEOPLE IN CASE THEY DID NOT UNDERSTAND FOR THE KARATE ISSUE, HOW STUPID YOU CAN BE (BECAUSE DEEP INSIDE I BELIEVE FROM SOME ANSWERS THAT IT IS ONLY AN ATTITUDE AND YOU CAN BE QUITE CLEVER IF YOU WANT) WE CAN REALLY LAUGH..........
"Been to an English football riot lately? Elected porn star's to the Italian parliament(?) lately? Europe certainly isn't holding a majority of class"
I WOULD HAVE A LOT COMMENT ABOUT THAT BUT CLASS IS CLASS (+ I HAVE A LOT OF FRIENDS IN THE US)SO I LIMIT MYSELF TO ONE: DEATH PENALTY (HOW CIVILISED IS THAT???)

delta, so you studied in a field that was tangentially related to physics, great. As said that doesn't make you special here, many have bachelors and beyond. High school physics also pretty much covers everything needed for bio majors anyway and weren't much less comprehensive than physics classes I had as an undergrad.
The obvious point I was making was that you're not a specialist in the area and that portion of your argument was irrelevant anyway. I am not ignorant regarding post undergraduate requirements and general course requirements, I guarantee that.
Again the "problem" many of us have is the lack of ability to even track your arguments. Really, what does your MSc have to do with a karetaka getting his ass kicked? What real relevance does research in physiologic pathways have to do with basic inertia statements? Nothing and it is all irrelevant anyway. I was trying to point out some very basic concepts that many have a hard time comprehending:
1. Many people have gone to college; it doesn’t make you that special.
2. Many stupid people have gone to college and graduated, it isn’t an automatic verification of either knowledge or inherent intelligence.
As an aside you talk about your karate style in its original form having everything you need for fighting in all the ranges. Why then do you feel necessary to point toward your judo dan for verification and evidence of groundfighting / newaza knowledge? Seems slightly contradictory.
I’ve known Okinawan karate practitioners and they were quite skilled but made no claim that they had a complete system, you do so and then contradict yourself.
Food for thought, pointing out how strongly you express certain characteristics usually means others don’t see them and hence you don’t actually express them. To make it clearer, pointing out how classy you are usually means that you’re not.
Interestingly enough this conversation makes me picture you as an overly hairy 45yr old who wears gaudy shirts half unbuttoned, with large gold chains and too much aftershave who drops in anecdotes from his time in “professional security” and quotes from Voltaire to impress the 18 year olds he is trying to pick up. When you get ready to “meet the ladies” at night I bet you stare at the mirror as you liberally apply the pomade to your thinning hair and say to your reflection: “who’s a classy hunk?”
This may be an Americanization so apply the concept to wherever you originate.
