Bukido Institute (run by Future Weapons host)
I found this place today and it looked interesting, but at the same time, I had to wonder if it actually delivered the kind of training it claims to.
In my mind, there's no doubt as to Richard Machowicz's credentials. He is a verified former SEAL and no doubt knowledgeable bad-ass. This school does, however, make claims like: "C.A.T.T. - Two days and nights of intense training to survive multiple attackers with weapons."
Most of the arts the instructors train in are things like TKD, aikido, karate, etc. and though they claim to have received numerous black belts among the staff, it never says from who or where.
In short, I doubt this is bullshido, but it does have some elements whose effectiveness I would want to question.

I bring this thread to life!
I just read the website, and there a number of markers that point to problems. Not the least of which are the $2K lesson fee, and the non-disclosure agreement you are required to sign.
Any type of claims of that nature is generally crap. Just like those diets or dieting sites that claim that you can lose 10 lbs by the weekend. If it sounds too good to be true, then it is.
Exactly, the style looks like a joke. The guy himself could probably kick some serious ass, but I doubt he knows the secret "bukido".
It's not even a real Japanese word. He just made it up.
A Navy SEAL LARPing? That just ain't right.
