    Hell yeah! Hell no!

When did you know you were too old for this stuff?

Having recently crossed another decade boundary, the last digit of my age reseting from 9 to zero and the first digit going up by one again, I am really starting to feel my age.
From the creaking in my joints, to the huffing and puffing whilst running up hills that I once considered a warm up to that general low level of energy and tendancy to talk about "young people" whilst shaking my head in dismay.

I don't intend to stop training, but I know I'll never be abkle to get back to that bright eyed vim and vigour of my youth.
Last couple of years I've noticed those "serious athletes", young bastards in their early to mid twenties, are starting to hand me my ass with greater and greater ease.
My reflexes are slowing, my heads not in the game.

Is that what happened to the other old bastards on this site when you advanced in years?

****. I managed to post in the wrong forum.... that'll be the senility kicking in. Could someone please help a frail old man and move this thread to the physical health and training forum? Thanks sonny

I'm going through this type of thought process myself. At 38, and my first MMA fight in a little over 2 weeks, I'm stoked to find out how I will do.

    Age is a number.

I'm 35 this year and am fitter than I was at 25, but I'm falling prey to mental ageing, or some damn thing.
I'm saying more and more, "I'm too old for this ****," and the more I say it, the more I believe it.

I need to keep a more positive mental attitude, and all that good stuff.

That said, I do ache more than I used to and I don't have the drive I used to have. I don't think there's much you can do to stop that happening.

30 is old. SO very very old. But look at it this way:

I am 30 years old but I have the body of a 20 year old.... I keep it in the freezer in the basement.... dont tell the cops...

Anyway. Yes. Thirty is very old. I am an old man now. I can now apply for a special licence to annoy young people by pretending to be deaf. Plus I need a rocking chair... and a porch to put it on

insert lyrics "when i was young... da da dee da da da dum... those days are going". Camt even remember the words, thats how damn geriatric i am
