Not ownage quite, but I watched (and cheered inwardly because I felt people didn't respect her abilities enough), a fellow student pulled of a low sweep on the class instructor. He'd been in training for some 10 years, her maybe 1 at that point. But she whipped that kick out, took both feet out from under him, and he landed flat on his back. She didn't know any ground fighting at that point so she didn't continue to attack, but he was never complacent around her again.

I actually haven't seen my instructor get tapped since I've been taking classes (almost 7 months). It does happen though.

I've seen the head of my BJJ organization get beat but only on youtube.

i dont think it should reflect bad on teachers/instructors when they loose cos afterall we're all human in the end of the day (some more then others).

People who want to look up to their teachers as if they are invinsible and or godlike are often very insecure themselves.

I've seen one of my instructors lose twice but i dont think of him any less cos the techniques he teaches me are proper, and also one time we were caught in this barfight together and i can still remember the screams of this huge guy he was pounding. (they started obviously ;-)

so point is:no1's perfect, but the instructors who lose at least are in the ring, unlike many fat have been champs and mystic masters who dont fight cos their techniques are to deadly.

So, I decided to launch a campaign of terror against my krotty instructor. My reasons were various, but suffice to say, I did it for the LULZ.
Ownage 1: Powerbreaking demo. The idea was instructor stands there and four guys break wooden batons over his forearms and shins.
Not overly impressive as the wood was only 1" x 2" and about 6 ft long. Basically, the limb acts as a fulcrum and the wood breaks itself.
So, anyway the three other guys did their bit and supersensei makes faces like he's some kind of inscrutable warrior of awesomeness... so I hit my bit of wood right across the back of his hand and down his knuckles.
He goes red. The small crowd gasps. I re-set, shift the wood in my hands so the edge hits his forearm, and I hit him slowly, so the wood's flexing doesn't break it. He goes redder.
Third hit, I shifted the wood back in my hands so I ended up hitting him with about 18" of wood. It didn't snap.
It eventually broke on the 5th (I think) hit.

I was not invited to hit him with wood again.

People seem to be getting confused with being owned and losing! You are going to lose sooner or later if you or your instructor competes no matter how good they are they will lose some fights it happens to everyone Muhamad Ali, Royce Gracie. Losing is just a part of competitions and nothing to be ashamed or "sad" about. Getting owed is like being beat super easy, stepping in a ring and getting submitted in like 10 seconds that is being owed. I have competed and lost a lot of times in front of friends and other students but I would never say I have been owed by any of my competitors and I would hate to think that people who watched my fights were going round saying "yeah I saw chiblast get owed in his last competition"
