Neh, I've read enough of Ralph's bullshit over there to last me for years. It's common knowledge that if you post over there; you've probably been challenged by Ralph at some point or another.

They ran off Sean Askew, who in my opinion is one of the guys who really gets the whole taijutsu bit... but he didn't buy the Official American Bujinkan Party Line, so they said mean things to him and ran him off.

Let me preface this post by saying that yes, I am a noob, and I know next to nothing about Ninjitsu.

There is a man in Dallas, Ralph Severe, claiming to teach traditional Ninjitsu. While there is nothing wrong with that, after seeing his training videos on youtube, and looking at his website, I'm calling him out as a bullshido artist.

Some of the things that caught my attention:
On his myspace, he claims to have fought in hundreds of streetfights, and sparring matches, both armed and unarmed.

While I don't know if this next site is directily associated with him, or if he wrote this himself, it claims "Professor Severe has been asked to trained many special groups such as, military specialist, security officers, body guards, border patrol, DEA, FBI, and law enforcement personnel."

On his own website,( http://www.artofcombat.com/instructors.htm) Mr. Severe claims to have studied over 40 martial arts, and claims to have black belt level or higher in 6 of them, but doesn't list who he was certified under. He also claims to have trained with Dan Inosanto. Besides Ninjitsu, he also claims to be a specialist in Jun Fan, Kali, and Shooto wrestling. He also teaches a bunch of wilderness survival classes.

So, can someone help me out, and expose this guy if he truly is a bullshido artist? Links to his training videos are below. I'm only posting a few, but if you search youtube for "Dallas Ninjitsu", you can find them all.

While I haven't read any of the threads dealing with him on Bullshido, he's been discussed quite a bit, particularly on Kutaki. He used to be a member there, but I don't know if he's still participating. He tends to draw a lot of heat from Bujinkan members, and rightly so, but I don't see Severe as being all that different from most people in the Bujinkan. At least he admits that the sakki test is bullshit.
