I've met him and thought he was alright. A lot of people I know really dislike him. His squad has their own song... About him. Before they compete.
And according to people I speak to, he was a really good point fighter back in the day and has trained with some top guys. Couldn't give any evidence or knowledge regarding his full contact background though. I'll ask about it.
And his wife is top. She had to retire a while ago becuse of severe illness. [I think it was Cancer] and she came back from it, and started training hard and competing again. I've got respect for her for that. -

He has trained and fought with the likes of Ticky Donovan during that era. He was at one time a well known and relatively good fighter on the British circuit in the old days, 1970's. Now WUMA is essentially an organisation that runs 'competitions' and he himself is a seriously overweight former martial artist.

I've seen the guy in real life but never spoke to him. But I do think the way he goes around bigging himself up is a joke. I have heard he used to be good back in the day at points fighting but that hardly means much! You know he invented his own MA right!? Hop Kuin Do http://www.wuma.uk.com/WUMA%20Offici...op-Kuin-Do.htm (his real name is Richard HOPKINS) the thing I don't get is how all the people in his assocation can buy in to his crap!?

This looks like maad sketchy. Porno ring much?
I think this is supposed to imply that he's always had some bullshit love of MA.1973 - Practised Bruce Lee techniques from the films (for many years)

Only someone who did not know Ticky and his history could make a joke about him. I may not like dicker or donovan quite honestly but on their 'lineage' they are all too real.
There are numerous stories about dd and his 'bodyguarding' union doing bodyguarding that wasn't always welcome to those being guarded if you know what I mean.
