I'd tell the whole story about the time I went to a guys house and shot him in the chest twice with a pellet gun, but i won't.

Does a wooden support pole count. The velocity was supplied by the idiot's forward propelled head.

I could be wrong here, it's been a while since I messed with any of this, but when you look at a person's OER or ERB (if they're even still the same acronyms...) it'll list medals they have. There should be a brief, like one page section, on what they got the medal for. If it's for a mission they can't talk about there will be an unclassified page stating that the specifics for the medal are classified. Also, if I remember right, the rule of thumb for declassifying is 10 years per level, so Top Secret/SCI - Top Secret - Secret - Confidential - Unclassified is a total of 40 years.

Cool thanks wetware, I'm not sure how ur system works here and how readily available our files are to the public.

I know when we get medals we get a little note on our personal file saying we are infact awarded said medal and allowed to wear it. I don't think we really get citations or medals for the sneaky sneaky stuff. Or if we do I've never heard of it. (wait that makes sense).

We're weird about medals. Some of our snipers worked with the US 101s I believe it was in Afghanistan 2002 and they did a kick ass job at killing the enemy. Americans were all impressed, wanted to award our guys the bronze star but out government took a big **** fit over it. Bad for PR awarding medals for killing people.

Seriously? What DO you award medals for?

Nevermind. I used to routinely hit other kids with chairs in fights; this was like in sixth/seventh grade. My friend Brian used to use bigger furniture, like desks or file cabinets. The difference was, I would pick up the chair and throw it or swing it at my opponent, and Brian would swing or throw his opponent into the desk or file cabinet.

New government came in. Our new commander of the army type dude is like a roman general who you'd want to follow to hell and back.

We're now starting to see more medals being given out for action in combat.

From my understanding, the Canadian military's stated primary objective is peacekeeping, and your forces are structured around that task. More money for land rovers and releif supplies, less money for things that we to the south adore such as precision guided bombs and armor.

Canuck snipers are undeniably the best in the world, which is weird.
