As far as the pony goes... I guess the answer is: YES.

I hear he is a fun ride.
Now, for the aikidoka... Do you want an actual aikidoka like Morito Suganuma 8th dan?
OR the aikidoka uniform.
One of those two is a possibility. -

Actually I really did spend the afternoon refurbishing my indoor punching bag . You see about a year ago the padding failed in my wavemaster and left a depression in my shin bone that matches the curve of the thick plastic core . I had not touched it since that week and yes the impression is still here on my shin . Just not nearly as pronounced .
The same week as the padding failed I stripped all the old dry rotted foam off .

When a couple of my training buddies took off to LA for a Christian Fundamentalist Rehad one gave my outdoor bag to a training partner who lives about 45 minutes out of town . Yeah .... I came home a couple days ago and it was gone , he said he thought it would be ok .
So me , a roll of hemp cord , and my trusty glue gun went to work with heavy duty fresh foam and the original plastic core . Mainly out of the frustration of not having something to strike full force .
This is the first layer . The green foam is super stiff while the yellow foam is a little softer , but two or three times thicker . I have three more layers of two different types of foam with progressively tighter (and numbers of ) loops of hemp cord around each layer .

damn it ... i had it sitting upside down on the couch ... grrr .
Laugh all you want now . It will be a work of functional art when I am done ... damn it .
Stage 2 will be 3 overlapping 2 inch thick panels of foam and about 75 yards of hemp . That is about 25-35 yards there in the picture .
