For the names, I have to check the certificates Raul got over the years (I think the first one dates back to 1999 or even 1995) and see if there are different names signing them. But I do know that the text varies for what ever reason one time saying something along the lines of "being awarded a BB" and "being a teacher holding rank of XY degree"

Give me some time for that though since I am pretty sick right now and can't go to training, I will take close up pictures of the documents though and provide full size copies of the pictures for you...

PS: If you provide me with a list of schools and people and time frames he supposedly trained in Sao Paulo, I think I have enough people here from the cbjje who could shed some light on the issue. But again this will take some time because Raul is out of town and he would be my main source.
If you could independantly try to trach down whether Mauricio Sakata exists as a BJJ Black Belt, and why his name is not on Carson Gracie's Black Belt list that could be invaluable. (Others claim Sakata got his black belt from Carson)

The problem is that Robson Pereira himself never mentioned any school in Sao Paulo where he trained or anyone that he trained with other than a Maurice Sakata and a Marco "Macaco" Aurelio. Robson was supposedly awarded his BJJ black belt in 1994 in Sao Paulo by Maurice Sakata; he was also supposedly the Sao Paulo state champion. Since he came to the US in 1995 or 1996, he should have been active in the Sao Paulo BJJ scene during the decade of 1985/6 to 1995/6.

    Hi MC

Remember when doing interviews to record the full name of the people you interview, the date you talk to them, and a brief discription of their background that gives them access to the information they are providing.

Maybe they thought Gracie was his maiden name.

No disrespect intended DOD but the problem, as I see it, is, as far as I can tell, the people who train with him are generally aware of the "contraversy" and just don't seem to care so @ this point aren't you/we preaching to the converted?

duckII, War Wheel has hit the nail on the head here. For me, this is no longer some crusade to "save" people from a fraud but rather perseverance with a view to the truth eventually coming out about Robson Pereira, Maurice Sakata, Marcos Santos, Rigan Machado, and Francisco Mansor. This just might be a supervolcano waiting to erupt, and being able to watch the fireworks will be well worth the wait.

Actually, I would rather this all turned out to be some sort of misunderstanding. I'm not that bored.
