    Hell yeah! Hell no!

    H&K .40 P2000 write up and vid.

well, next in my series of shooting videos
    The H&K P2000 compact

[the first two, if you haven't seen them]

    accuracy= 8/10 fairly good for a compact.
mechanical = 7/10 the slide release acted funny, but that may be a magazine issue
size = 8/10 could be narrower, but not bad.
grip = 8/10 with my 'both thumbs riding forward' grip, it fit fairly well.

as for the video, i felt bad b/c i fucked up the first shot, but nailed the other 4 straight through the center. the slide wasn't too heavy to pull back, the trigger wasn't either.

overall, i'd give it a 75/100, not a bad choice for a CCW.

in other news, i've fallen head over heels for the SIG 226.
here's a picture of what my friend and i did to it with 25 rounds each @ 25 ft. (ps, i finally fixed my friends grip and stance, for those of you who know what i'm talking about... he can finally hit the broad side of a barn! excited.)

reds mine, blues friend's; light blue his first try after i changed his grip.

oh, on a PPS note, i tried a 'one to the heart, then one to the head' double tap with the usp for the first time last time i went. it was the most incredible thing that's ever happened, i nicked the lower inner edge of the 'heart box' then drove a .40 right through the box marking the medulla, almost perfected lined up with each other. the range doesn't allow hip draws, so i just grabbed the gun off the rest while jumping into stance, then fired the two rounds in maybe a second or less total.

it's probably something that'll never ever happen again in my life, and i curse the fact that i didn't think it would be necessary to bring a camera. :( also, the guy bitches at anyone who fires faster than a round a second, so i waited until the guy with the shotgun next to me fired to cover up the noise.... so everything was, i'd like to say, an odd fucking of luck and timing.

i take it no one really cares for my nubbish opinion.

but, i think i'll try to record a short "basic handgun usage" video for friends and whatnot.
any thoughts on what i should include aside from safety, loading, reloading, stance, and grip?
    i think i'll use a sig 226 or a usp .40.

Do some failure drills, too. Especially stovepiping and double feeds, since those are the ones people seem to have the most trouble dealing with. They like to totally rack the slide on stovepipes and miss out on the mag eject on the double feeds and just make the problem worse.

Ouch. Needless to say, this gun will **** someone up. Even by gun standards.

haven't you seen any john woo films?
if the range wasn't so strict about it, i'd be jumping sideways with two berettas in my hands, and emptying both clips down the center of the target a mile away. fwaaah!

My range lets me fire off two handguns at once. That's only because I hang out with the manager on the weekends though.

Nah, just go and hang out with him. Really it's to get closer to his daughter, but that would be such a bad situation. I'd probably die via bullet wounds if I ever tried anything.

I want to try something high caliber dual-wielded, but I fear that I'll end up hitting myself in the head.
