Stretching causes lax tension in muscles. I wouldn't advise doing this as any sort of warmup. Whatever your routine is, do some exercises with minor weight or minor effort exerted. This will allows the CNS to flow more blood to the areas being exercised as well as get the muscle spindles ready for increased tension.

I'm not a big fan of using asprin or other anti-inflammatory drugs for these sorts of things, unless the pain is incredible. This being due to the fact that the anti-inflammatory drugs slow healing by the very nature of what they're supposed to be doing.
