Oh goodness, I gotta think hard to come up with a good name. In any case, I'm making an sticky of this thread. I registered and checked the links. The amount of information over there is priceless!!!

    Thanks!!!!
Read this for flexibility and injury prevention, this, this and this for supplementation, this on grip conditioning, and this on staph. New: On strenght standards, relationships and structural balance. Shoulder problems? Read this.

My crapuous vlog and my blog of training, stuff and crap. NEW: Me, Mrs. Macho and our newborn baby.

New To Weight Training? Get the StrongLifts 5x5 program and Rippetoe's "Starting Strength, 2nd Ed". Wanna build muscle/gain weight? Check this article. My review on Tactical Nutrition here.

t-nation - Dissecting the deadlift. Anatomy and Muscle Balancing Videos.

The street argument is retarded. BJJ is so much overkill for the street that its ridiculous. Unless you're the idiot that picks a fight with the high school wrestling team, barring knife or gun play, the opponent shouldn't make it past double leg + ground and pound - Osiris

PirateJon, thanks. I've been looking for something exactly like that.

Recently told my wife I wanted to improve my diet and she came home with four bags of potato chips, the Costco box of poptarts among other crap telling me what a great sale it was.

Sugar, potoatos and pastry are really to be avoided like THE PLAGUE. Or to put it another way, there might be a reason why all that crap is cheap.

www.nutritiondata.com is an excellent site for determining caloric values of foods or checking the nutritional balance of your whole diet.

Potatoes are dangerous if you are diabetic. Otherwise, unprocessed potatoes, corn (whole, on the cob etc), grains and such are great for you. As long as they aren't converted to high fat chips, or covered with butter, sour cream, and all that crap that makes them SO yummy. Now are organic blue corn chips ok? Please?

A high school buddy of mine, Terry Shintani, developed a diet program based on native people's diets, combined with a formula that shows how many pounds of food it would take to maintain your weight. Bacon, one pound. Corn, six and a half.
