This is fine and well, I know and understand the concept of a forum. However I am not interested in side comments, or nit picks that someone thinks they notice standing on the side lines. Locu5 had the decency to address the matter at hand with respect and objectiveness.

If you truely feel that me seeking to understand why you and the others feel the way you do about us (Soke, Keichu, and it's practitioners) is a generic defense. Then I am sad to say that we are going to have to shake hands, agree to disagree, and go our own ways you have already made your decision. I hope that you will go away from this with an open mind, as I will.

Thank you for your time, and God Bless.

Some have recognition on their sites, but the updated Wikipedia article should hold these and maybe some more. When it is finished that is.

I had thought that is what it meant. Thank you for clarifying. The Judo is yes is Japanese, the soft style influences are.... I am assuming Chinese. Most everyone seems to agree that Jiu-Jitsu has origins in Brazil. The Boxing is well.... English??? I wonder what culture would claim organised fist only fighting??? But considering he learned it in America is it safe to assume that his Boxing is American? The 'Sport' Karate that Soke created is not a copy of other arts, so that is American.... Then there is the street self defense that was learned in Louisiana so that is American. The weapons or Kempo is Okinawan (I am not a 100% on the weapons so do not quote me just yet). In the end most everything that has been brought in from another style has been modified, even the Jiu-Jitsu Soke altered so that it better fit the needs of someone defending themselves on the street.

I am going to double check this info, so I may be back later with some corrections.

I hope that this will help. Thank you and God Bless.

    Hi FreeSpeech

I'm not going to flame you. I'm sure you meant to say Brazilian Jiu Jitsu there which has its origins in Judo. Jiu Jitsu or jujutsu originated in Japan.

I'm no expert but that seemed to be a clear misstatement.

    God bless you too.

    Mike, Thanks a million!

I admit that I should of paid a little more attention to that article that I read before I opened my mouth. I was skimming through Wikipedia trying to group up some articles for more thorough reading later.

I had thought that the article had said that the individual that was the subject of the article had discovered the art in Brazil and made changes to it.

Again thank you, and God Bless!

I have pictures saved of the famous "gator roll " and a couple other grappling material from them if you wish . I may have even posted some of it earlier in the thread .

If you're gonna claim some kinship with BJJ, the ghost of Carlson Gracie is going to hunt you down and kill you for polluting the art with stuff like Gator Rolls.

    Mmmm, gator rolls....sounds tasty.
