    Keichu-Do: Street Boxing Cajun Style!

"In 1997 Soké Marx was inducted into the U.S.K.A. Hall of Fame. In 1974 Soké Marx was the first American to be recognized as a 10th Dan by the International Black Belt Association. Keichu-Do is the 1st purely American Martial Art created totally from scratch. Soké Marx is considered to be the "True Father of American Karate" since he never studied Karate from anyone, or earned a Black Belt in a Karate style with an oriental background. It is without a doubt that Keichu is the 1st Cajun Karate and Ju-Jitsu style from Louisiana."

"It is a truly comprehensive system created specifically for Americans to enable them to protect themselves against the way Americans fight."

You know, since those Chinese, Brazilians, and Russians all use different kinds of physics.

    Wow, that makes perfect sense.

That would surley make me, the "True Father of English Wing Chun" since I've never studied Wing Chun from anyone!

If it is truly the 1st purely american martial art, why is it using japanese terms, japanese name, japanese gi's & hakamas and affiliating itself with karate. If it is purely original why copy something else.

Excellent point. I also think that Native Americans may have a claim on that "1st purely American Martial Art created totally from scratch." title. Although I doubt that they would even care.

They actually use a modern five-animal system of the Muskrat, Crawdaddy, Weasel, Hound-Dog, and the culmination of the other four, the Hillbilly.
