    Memorable fights with shoes on?

It's my understanding that you can wear shoes in some MMA venues for better traction when punching, but as a result, you aren't allowed to kick.

Have there been any memorable fights where one or two have the fighters have worn shoes?

The original poster is correct. The venue in question is called "The Ultimate Fighting Championship Several Years Ago." It's a great promotion, but they aren't accepting new fighters.

And most guys who wear shoes in MMA are wrestlers wearing wrestling shoes.

I came across a video of such a match recently. It was from around UFC 20 or thereabouts. A wrestler chose to wear wrestling shoes and forfeited the use of kicks. I forget who it was.

Pete Williams had on shoes when he kicked Mark Coleman's face in.

Wow, I thought the concept of giving up kicks for better traction was some interesting, but I guess not. Might as well send this one to the Bay.

Bas Rutten vs. Jason Delucia, Pancrase. Bas Rutten took advantage of the wrestling boots they were wearing by extensively using the front kick and went on to win.
