I went from 9mil to .45ACP and it gave me hell over extended shoots until the instructor altered my grip/posture - then all was well... You can't shoot a Glock21 like you do a Browning HiPower (IMHO).

Depends on the gun, and the ammo used.

You're right, that unless someone has a wrist injury, most folks should be able to shoot all day long with a Glock 21, using 230 grain hardball reloads (5.0 grains Vihtavuori N320 powder, beautifully accurate load). However, if someone tries to shoot hotter loaded +P ammo out of a 3.0" barrel Colt Defender, that could prove taxing to many folks.

I'd look at your grip and recoil management if I were you and see if there isn't something there you could improve.
Solid advice, since before trying to correct the gun, correcting the mechanics is always cheaper.

That or maybe some of us have injured wrists from doing other stuff. Boxing. BJJ. Masturbating. Same thing with running. Those of us with knee reconstructions can run just fine, but add a 40lbs ruck and 10 miles you feel the difference.

If you're going from 9mm to .45 ACP, try relaxing your elbows. I've run accross a couple of "defensive shooting" instructors who favor 9mm, so they teach you to lock your elbows when shooting - which works wonders on recoil control with a 9mm. If you try to do that with a .45 ACP, though, you'll tear your wrist up. Just try relaxing your elbows next time you go out, you'll feel the difference...or at least I did.
Also, if you're using hot loads, stop. It's not good for the firearm, and you'll be replacing it within a year or so if you keep using it. Go to standard 230 grain/830 fps loads. That will make a great deal of difference as well. If all else fails, try switching the ammo you're using. I know Hydrashock tends to buck a little more than FMJ or even standard JHP does, and Hollowpoints always tend to buck more than soft lead or jacketed rounds.
    So, generally:
    1) Relax your elbows...you can't shoot a 45 like a 9
    2) If you're using hotloads, stop
    3) If all else fails, try switching the bullet type you're using

But you're in the UK. You government doesn't understand that when you say shooting, the phrase "at kindergardeners" isn't implied.
