i've pretty much given up on all ointments.

This is probably one of the strongest on the market. It doesn't do anything for me. Tiger balm ultra is nice for sore muscles, but it doesn't do ****-all for my knees.

The wraps i posted before are like a cross between an ace bandage and the futuro wrap. I guess mine just got stretched out from constant wear (i wear them everyday) and they lost their elasticity. I should buy new ones, but they're expensive. The tensor bandages you have to wrap yourself annoy me even more than these ones. either it gets wrapped too tight, or too loose, and either way it shifts around and you have to adjust it constantly. at least with mine, it's one piece so you just have to pull it back up. stupid gravity anyways.

El Macho: Do you buy from bulknutrition? I think I sent you a PM a while back about it.

Anyway here is a link to a bulk supplier of supplements. I have ordered BCAA, Glutamine, creatine, and will be ordering from them soon again.

They have pretty much everything between these two sites:

    www.bulknutrition.com
    www.customnutritionwarehouse.com

1000g Glutamine is $20. And if yo don't like mixing the powders with liquid (they do taste nasty) you can buy a ap-M-quick to cap them yourself.

    Funky thing is that I hand't... and I don't know why. I'm such a tard :tard: :eusa_doh:

I completely forgot you sent me that link, and incidentally I just bought more supplements for me and my g/f at a nutrition depot right in front of work.

I gotta start using bulknutrition cuz this **** aint' cheap at all - I'm supposed to get a 10% discount at that store, plus I signed with their golden card thingie (more discounts). I need to make a comparison with the new discounts I'm going to get at the store vs those online suppliers.... I need to save money.

Does having an allergy to sulfas make the methylsulfonylmethane dangerous to use? I know I'm allergic to glucosamine products so those are already out. I play classical/brazilian guitar semi-professionally and the knuckles in my right hand get really sore once in a while.

Holy **** dude. That's a good question. Most likely, you will be allergic to MSM; when it comes to allergies, you may really want to consult a physician.

Have you tried massaging your knuckles (icy-hot, tiger balm) and/or submerging them in hot water. I say this because I have an uncle back in Nicaragua, and he was suffering from arthritis on his hands. Decades of farm work do that to the hands.

Anyways, on my last trip down there, I showed him how to massage his hands with vick vaporub (we don't have icy-hot down there), you know, hard massage where you dig your thumb over and under each knuckle, on the back and on the palm of the hand and so forth. And after each massage, I had him dip his hands in hot water, hot enough to be painful, but safe.

That didn't cure him, but it helped him deal with it and keep working on the ranch. He keeps doing the massage and hot water thing to this day. I know it's an anecdote, but heck, who knows, it may work.

Speaking as a an alergically challenged individual.....

My Brother-In-Law is allergic to sulfates, and he had a BAD reaction to the MSM. He took it for wrist and elbow problems from Golf.

Well I guess I'm out of luck on this, then. Soaking hands in warm water is a staple for alot of classical musicians to loosen up the hands, increase blood flow, etc... Also, eating bananas for a few days before a show helps to steady the hands. I'll give the vics a try. Thanks for the input!
