coronary artery bypass graft treatment

I have /no/ idea what this is, but a friend of my needs to find a treatment of some sort for coronary artery bypass graft. so... if anyone with better google-fu than i do can help me out, i'd appreciate it.

he needs a treatment protocol. whatever that is.

We have several licensed physical therapists on the board, with varying degrees across America. I'm sure whoever told his friend that is a good resource as to what or why that is.

I don't understand what help is needed, other than some information on what exactly it is?

To be blunt - a CABG is serious **** and your friend should be asking his surgeon and cardio rehab people at whatever hospital the procedure is being performed at.

Before your friend begins any rehab - beyond the specified pre-discharge rehab or initial at home program s/he should be getting a referral from her/his doctor.

Amen to that. Rehab programmes of this nature need to be tailored to the individual.

So did he actually look up the procedure? is he looking for in-hospital? early recovery? late recovery? all of the above?
Look at the Yale/New Haven (ynhh.org) link below, thats probably going to provide the most guidance but he may actually have to use a textbook or something crazy like that and figure it out.
