    ufc 71 rampage vs chuck

According to MMAWeekly.com, it looks like Quinton “Rampage” Jackson won’t get a few more tune up fights like he wanted before his highly anticipated showdown with UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Chuck Liddell.
The two are rumored to rematch at UFC 71 on May 26 — Memorial Day weekend.
Rampage beat Liddell back in 2003 in a PRIDE event — it remains “The Iceman’s” only unavenged loss.

Interesting. Is Dana White deliberately throwing Rampage in too soon so that his golden boy can have his revenge? Does Rampage really need more warm ups considering he just fought Lindland and Eastman (in a cage)? And will Chuck stay off the frosted donuts long enough to actually train this time?

If it is true I say it is because of the mad hype about the matchup and not much to do with Jacksons un readiness. I say Rampage has a solid chance against the champ. He did after all beat the man before. Liddell is an awesome champion and is stronger and better than the last matchup, but so is Jackson. I and IMO Jackson, coming from pride, has faced some stiffer opposition that the Ice Man and come out with the W.

Rampage is more ready to face chuck than anyone else in the UFC LHW division, let's not kid ourselves.

Also, the UFC LHW division has many strong contenders in bisping, rashad, and jardine. Rampage could theoretically lose any of these matches, thus ruining a rematch possibility with chuck. So, it's for the best that they fight now. If anyone's getting the shaft it's chuck because of his pneumonia.

Why would Rampage need warm up fights? He has been doing this for years. Chuck has not fought in quite a while either. Jeez, It is fighting. It is not like they will forget how to do it. They have been training.

Arguably just getting used to the dynamics of the venue, such as a cage as opposed to the ropes where they'd often be restarted in the center, and just getting used to someone taking your head off again. *shrugs* I can't wait regardless.

Perhaps Rashad would do some unorthodox wacky move and score a flash KO upset, but in all honesty I don't see any of those going toe to toe with Rampage and doing anything but getting KTFO.

Rampage has fought the best! he does not need more tune up fights. however I think Chuck will win this time around. Feeding Bisbing,Jardine or rashad to either Rampage or Lidell would be in humane!
