M240B ? Us in the marines use the 240G. I didnt know there was a B version. whats the difference or is that a typo?

Sweet butstock on the SAW. I want one. And our company doesnt have acogs or broomsticks yet for our M16's. Though I hear we get them issued for deployment. at least we have m16A4's. Army gets all the new toys :{.

The SMAW. It's no longer a great antiarmor weapon; but due to its other uses I doubt that the Marine Corps will stop using it anytime soon.

Nope no typo there is a 240C,D,G,H also designated as E4,5,6. The difference is in the role the y play, such as Airborne(mounted on an aircraft), Vechiular, or carried by a grunt. The 240G was picked by the Marines the 240B was picked by the by the Army and AirForce. There is minor differences in weight and head space but essentially they are the same weapon.

Every couple weeks I'd have to do a clearing barrel watch at the dfac at Ali Al Salem. The Australians there used a weapon that looked identical to that. I knew nothing about it, but when they'd go to show me clear it was like they took that thing apart. I think even the barrel unscrewed. I'd just be like yeah, looks clear to me.

Also the Navy uses the 240B too, at least the Bees do. And what was that pictured earlier an M16A4?

I thought so, but I didn't want to assume. I'm not much of an expert on weapons, I just know what I need to know about the ones that I handle. M16A2 and M9, also a shotgun a couple years ago in bootcamp, but that was only once or twice.

The Army has the one with the heatshields, Devil. That's the only difference.

You should be happy, the gulf is lighter.

The acog is alright but I never liked the graphics inside the standard issue one. I liked the mil-dot version much better, which they discontinued. The current top of the crop to me is the eotech. Mine was appropriated by my good friend and hopefully he'll return safely and bring it back.

Did you know the army had a recruiting poster where a Soldier had his ACOG mounted backwards?
