I will attempt to purify this thread with an excerpt from "My Judo" by Kimura, courtesy of Judoinfo.com

When I was in the 7th grade, my older brother came home crying, saying that he got bitten by dogs. The next night, I went out for revenge. I found mid-size three dogs at a storage of a geisha house that was about 50 meters away from my house. They were the enemies. I called them one by one with a whistle, and kicked it with a geta (wooden sandal) by full force. When I passed by the storage, all the 3 dogs were covered with a bandage. Through this experience, I developed boldness and confidence for fighting with humans.

If you read that, and decide that you are going to do anything on that list except for Judo, then please report to the middle of the nearest train track at 8am tommorow morning for punishment.

I will not grieve for you.

Pile of fallen swordsman who were tricked by the devil into trying to attack Kimura en masse, you'll notice they all died from Osoto Gari to Osoto Otoshi combo, you can tell by the looks on their cold dead, hakama loving faces

I'm not too sure what they learn in ninjitsu or how much sparing they do.

I didn't mind taekwondo when I was taking it a few years ago but it was hard to hid the fact that the organization as a whole seemed to be completly about money. Pumping out black belts for compitition, also i didn't like how the classes were often had kids in them.

Kungfu here seems the same. It costs $20 to even watch a class and if you join the $20 goes towards your monthly fee. If you dont take the class then in theory you get the $20 back which is bullshit because the guy just tries to give you one of his dumb t shirts.

I don't know a thing about kempo karate. I think I'm leaning towards the judo/jujitsu class.
Check what is in bold. You've answered your own question with that one. If you have to PAY just to WATCH then they SUCK!

Ozz, with a guy named Patrick Jamison from Otawa/Gatneau.

Joe I'm about an hour and a half away from Ottawa, about 2 from Kingston.

I'd love to try Escrima but like I was saying my options are limited to whats readily available.
I'm aiming at getting posted to Edmonton which is a much much larger city so I'm hoping I'll have access to more options.

The Aikido partner I train with the most actually owns the martial arts school where I go to class and is a black belt in jijutsu and judo and has been doing it for probably 30 or 40 years + (no joke). Fucking tough dude. If what I'm doing in class doesn't work he lets me know.

I think I'm gonna go for the JJ/Judo.
On a side note is there any weapons training done in jujitsu?

Out of that list, Judo by far... but I am not really sure what your objectives in training are, especially since you say you currently train Yoshinkan Aikido. Judo for SD/actual fighting, and the rest I dunno...

Ugh, I used to live in Edmonton. It sucks, but there's lots of places to train.

It might be a good idea to learn to punch. It is usually not too hard to find boxing. I know it is not on your list, so it depends on what you want.

There's got to be a boxing gym somewhere nearby.

They're usually cheap, and the workout is excellent.

Stick with it long enough to get some sparring in. It's a reality sandwich.

If you are looking at boxing, I recommend Mike Miles muay thai. They have a good rep among gyms, and the people I have seen who have trained there definitely know what they're doing.
