i have been resting for a week or so already today i just started back sparring with my friend and he said i have gotten stronger, what i dont get is he sparred with me till last week and back then i lifted weights like everyday and he doesnt say i get stronger but today he said that??? i just dont get it

my friend that have been learning cma for a while told me lifting weights actually slow you down and causing your punches kicks slower, i just got a weight lifting program so should i stick with weight lifting or just hit bags, pads, mitts??? i need advice immediately because my schedule starts back in friday

Your friend is wrong. Lifting weights can actually make you faster maybe, but not slower at all. When you rest you build muscle. When you lift you break it down. By lifting, you tell your body it needs to get stronger, so it does (when it is resting).

alright, i think i was lifting the wrong way or improper form because everyday i feel really tired too even before i lift weights and i dont feel i was getting stronger, i will go check out the videos posted last time
Resting on its own won't make you stronger (obviously) but resting after working out will.

That's because you were lifting "every day." Lifting weights every day is too much, maximum five times a week (cycling through different body parts). Personally I'd say three times a week is optimum.

i was gonna start that 5x5 but in middle of a workout i felt my chest muscles cramping up so decided to give it some time to rest. well i have a a ez bar, 2 retractable dumbells, and 240lb of free weights(or weight plates)

Do you have a bench or rack? Probably not, but you don't need them really. Are the weights standard or olympic? DO the "retractable" dumbells use these weights or are they like a powerblock?
You really need a straight bar to get started on all the good exercises. Then you can row, shrug, squat, clean, overhead press, deadlift, all the good exercises.

Dude a standard straight bar is 35lbs. Also, EZ curl bars suck for anything but curling, which is a low priority for you. Get a friend to go with you or something.
