Resting on its own won't make you stronger (obviously) but resting after working out will.
That's because you were lifting "every day." Lifting weights every day is too much, maximum five times a week (cycling through different body parts). Personally I'd say three times a week is optimum.everyday i feel really tired too even before i lift weights and i dont feel i was getting strongerDedicated to legs and the disrespecting thereof. -

Do you have a bench or rack? Probably not, but you don't need them really. Are the weights standard or olympic? DO the "retractable" dumbells use these weights or are they like a powerblock?
You really need a straight bar to get started on all the good exercises. Then you can row, shrug, squat, clean, overhead press, deadlift, all the good exercises. -
