i too was wondering if there was a way to rehydrate quicker. I have a fight on june 20th and i have to make a good cut. do u guys know if taking some creatine pills would help at all along with the pedialyte?
I wouldn't play with creatine before a fight if I were you. I'm completely talking out of my ass since I've never fought nor cut weight. I do know, however, that creatine can give me some serious stomach problems, specially if I don't hydrate well.

The street argument is retarded. BJJ is so much overkill for the street that its ridiculous. Unless you're the idiot that picks a fight with the high school wrestling team, barring knife or gun play, the opponent shouldn't make it past double leg + ground and pound - Osiris
pedialyte gave me a tummy ache last time i tried it, creatine did too, i personally dont think i will be living if i took those 2 together let alone fighting

You wont be taking creatine while cutting weight because it holds water, so theres no reason to take it, all you might get is an upset stomach, thats it.
Also, why and how much weight are you cutting? If this is an amateur fight you shouldnt be cutting water weight at all. Maybe 1 or 2 pounds, but if its an AM fight and your weighing in the same day as the fight, cutting weight will only hurt you. You need at least a full day and good nights sleep to replenish water lost to cutting.
If its a pro fight and your weighing in the day before forget what I said.
cool thanks for the help i definitely wont take creatine before my fight now. ya it is only amateur. I started out weighing 150 and im 142 right now with 17 days before my fight. ya i agree with u guys about the cutting thing but idk i like to do it because i get in great shape. U could call me one of those crazy wrestler guys i guess lol but ya im just trying to dehydrate as little as possible
