We can all agree this is inhumanly retarded....but just for arguements sake, and the people who practice with weapons a lot can answer this:
If you take away the stupid and just look at it like exercise:
Isn't this going to work out one arm a whole lot more than the other? I mean, that makes sense in ancient japan or the middle ages where that was a valid way of fighting, but nowadays, aren't you going to have a bunch of Forza students stumbling around looking like hermit crabs?
