Taste Rating Scale is 1 (absolute shite) through 10 (tastes like happy)
Taste: 7 – At first gulp the taste is really pretty good. It tastes just like apricot (maybe that is the passion fruit but I have no idea what the hell passion fruit is or what it tastes like). Lightly carbonated and it goes down pretty good…then you get about 10 ounces in and you’ve had about all of the apricot you can stomach. Out of spite you will finish the last little bit looking quizzically at the can saying “meh, it’s not THAT bad”. And truly, it isn’t, but you probably won’t go running to the next 7-11 to grab another one anytime soon.
After Taste: 3 – Toward the end of the can you’ve about had it with the warm citrus-like syrup taste in the back of your mouth.
Effects Rating Scale is 1 (water) through 10 (check in to rehab NOW!)
Energy Boost: 6 – Similar to the original Rockstar. There is a definite boost but it is nothing spectacular. Nothing out of the ordinary here by energy drink standards.
Side Effects/Crash: 5 – I have a slight residual headache. Since work hasn’t been particularly stressful and my wife likes me today, I’m blaming the Rockstar-Juiced.
