DoD,
Well, actually, I was going to say....My honour I'll bequeath unto the knife that wounds my body so dishonoured:Tis honour to deprive dishonour'd life, the one will live the other being dead;So of shame's ashes shall my fame be bred; For in my death I murder shameful scorn, my shame so dead my honour is new born....But, since I'm not a "drama whore" I just went with the whole stool and noose thingy.
Any hoo...good work on the phone call, don't know why no one did it sooner. How can I get a copy of that tape...it sounds hysterical! Just out of curiosity, did you identify yourself as DoD, use your real name or make something up? -

My own two cents on that phone conversation - (I'm giving DoD benefit of the doubt in that it is authentic)...
While I found the confrontational nature of the conversation great entertainment value, I wonder if more information might have been gleaned with a more roundabout approach.
In other words, play up to his ego a bit, make it sound like you are really interested in joining his class, and then in asking about his credentials, say stuff like "Wow! you're a black belt? I heard those things are really hard to get! Where did you get yours? Brazil? Dude! That's like the homeland of BJJ, ain't it? Did you train w/ the Gracies? Cool! Where did you get your BB from? Did you compete? yada yada yada..."
The idea here is to get him to volunteer facts that can be checked against known sources...basically trip him up in his own lies (if in fact he is lying) -

Trying to massage information out of the guy could produce results. It could also be disingenuous. While DoD's confrontational tone may not be winning him friends, at least it's honest. Lying to a guy to prove he's a liar is... dunno, less than that. I can't fault him for his tone even if taking a cooler angle on it might produce more information.

You should have undone the noose before you stepped off the stool...

I'm going to make myself some duplicate cassettes. Just PM me a mailing address of some kind, and I'll send you one. If you can figure out how to post the audio on the thread, go ahead and do it. Feel free to make copies, disseminate them, and post them on forums as you will. How can I get a copy of that tape...it sounds hysterical!
AND!!! Absolutely free of charge, you'll also receive a copy of the Grandmaster-Mansor-doesn't-know-Mauricio-Sakata cassette!!! If you can post the audio on the thread, go for it or lend it to someone who can.
I use a nom de guerre that I've had a long time; it's okay to leave it in the audio postings.Just out of curiosity, did you identify yourself as DoD, use your real name or make something up?
