Taste Rating Scale is 1 (absolute shite) through 10 (tastes like happy)

Taste: 9 – Awesome. Best tasting energy drink my mouth and taste buds have had the privilege to suck down. AriZona is known for their ice-tea and ice-tea variations so it is not unexpected that the taste of their “high performance” energy drink maintains that nitch. It is slightly carbonated but has a good peach/ice-tea flavor that is not overly sweat. Very good drink…refreshing even.

    After Taste: 8 – Hooraaaaaaaaay Ice-Tea!!!

Effects Rating Scale is 1 (water) through 10 (check in to rehab NOW!)

Energy Boost: 7/8 – For a drink to taste this good you would expect the “boost” to be negligible. You couldn’t be more wrong. The 16oz can of fluid happiness contains a whopping 200 mg of caffeine. This is less than the Rockstar-Zero rotten fruit in a can; but the mixture of other ingredients (200 mg of Guarana for example) seem to hit the right key to push this over into the true “energy drink” category. Case in point, I drove the 3.5 hours back home to Orlando from the Miami Throwdown. About halfway home with the wife and kid asleep in the car I started to feel a bit sluggish. Popped the top on the “Zona” drink within 20 minutes I was bright eyed and singing “Safety Dance” by Men Without Hats (damn you Sirius Radio!!!!) much to the dismay of my wife…but that is another story.

Side Effects/Crash: 6 – I had some HUGE crashes off of this stuff. Of course, I was drinking 2 of them in the morning....every morning, for a while.
