    Hell yeah! Hell no!

    New Video of Disaster.

I found this video on youtube. It starts off ok but then devolves into vital point striking and general assgrabery. I love the disclaimer at the end.

Notice how even the students are laughing while performing the techique.

You know, your comments are pretty asstastic. What the **** are you trying to say? I think the guy who explained the technique thought it out quite well. Why don't you tell us exactly what you thought was so wrong with his explanation and then you might not come off like an asshole. I mean, what level of expertise do you have to quickly dismiss this ****?

He may have thought it out quite a bit, but it is still a very low percentage technique used as a counter to a unrealistic attack and trained in a static and dead manner.

So fucking what? He's explaining a form for Christ sake, it's not like he's saying this be a super uber technique and will work against Chuck Liddell. He's saying this is how you interpet this form and can be changed for specific ideas.

Did you not also hear him say that he's not going to waste time in thinking that this technique must work that he'll just move on to the next technique so the technique should flow? (I'm paraphrasing). Isn't that what you do in grappling, if not maybe you need to learn better or from a better instructor.

Yes, all instructors worth their salt will teach you to be able to flow, for lack of better wording.
But hey, I don't have to like him, what he is doing, or the entire concept of forms.

Nobody said that you had to like him. Laugh your ass off all you want for all I really care but this needs to be put in perspective. He's not teaching the OMFG kill technique will work on anybody shiznit he doing a simple explanation of a form. It's like making fun of sprawl drills with nobody there.

"OMFG, look at this technque it looks like break dancing why don't you just step out to the side like this, with that hand like that I'll just sit through bwahahaahahaahaha, what a fucking retard"

Video of disaster? I don't think so. This is how forms should be explained, nothing secretive about it, let the body flow, see your choices, and it's not like he's saying this replaces sparring in anyway shape or form.
