Fantastic! Thanks to Pirate Jon. Got me a copy now.
BTW, call at teh Vet (GP) about my stamped toe that my brother assures me is infected. The Doc said I was right but that they wrote to me a year ago about my over-active Thyroid, high Cholesterol, high BP and would I roll up my sleeve for a BP Test. OMFG it's far too high so come and get your Blood Test and we'll speak. Hmm, no-one mentioned Fasting so they turned me away this morning and I've to go back.
Arriving for work, my colleague mentioned that today is his B'Day and unrolled Marks & Spencers Double Chocolate Really Chocolatey Bites and More. Fan-fucking-tastic. I have started on them with my mid-morning tea.
Did I mention that as I waited for the Surgery to begin, I took the opportunity to step onto the scales and I've gained 2Kgs??
When I go back for the Blood Test and BP Test, I'm really going to give them a problem (er, or is it myself?) Who cares?

Has anyone come up with a solid alternative to the
(Equal, Nutri-crap,Splend-not) sweetener?
I unequivically detest that crap. I personally would use
agave syrup for the rest of my life except some recipies
call for non liquid sweetners.

Try stevia extract or xylitol. You can find both at a Whole Foods or other health store.
Why don't you like saccharine, aspartame, or sucralose?

Aspartame its not that bad. And agave syrup rules!

The street argument is retarded. BJJ is so much overkill for the street that its ridiculous. Unless you're the idiot that picks a fight with the high school wrestling team, barring knife or gun play, the opponent shouldn't make it past double leg + ground and pound - Osiris

Judah Mac, you rule. Xylitol; it's in my really expensive toothpaste, Duh.
Didn't know you could buy it retail. Problem solved.
P.S. Aspartame, sucrose, et all taste like chemical crappicinno
plus being the avoidant type, anything that tastes chemical-ly
and gets labeled as "neuro-toxic" =bad juju in my book.

This thread is full of win. I have a few semi-related questions:
1) Has anyone tried the cheesecake-y recipes, and if so, how'd the cottage cheese work as a substitute for cream cheese?
2) Anyone here tried fat-free cream cheese? I didn't even know such a thing existed.
3) I've got piles of whey protein powder, but the link in the OP indicates that it's not ideal for cooking. My experiments with incorporating it into muffins have been inconclusive so far - anyone else had any luck?

I've got piles of whey protein powder, but the link in the OP indicates that it's not ideal for cooking.
Optimum Nutrition's 100% ANY WHEY Protein is the perfect complement to any meal or snack. This virtually tasteless powder is fat FREE with 17 grams of protein and only 1 gram of carbohydrates. 100% ANY WHEY Protein is the ideal cooking partner. Add a scoop to your yogurt, prepare a protein packed turkey pot pie or whip up a quick protein omelet.
Has worked well for me in brownies.
