OMG!! Another Critique My Bagwork Thread

Background info:

I have a few months of boxing training. I am also a Kuk Sool Won blackbelt. I've been training on my own for a little over a year now. I am currently in Iraq and unable to find a competent instructor. I am just hoping to get some tips from some of you Uber-De4dly strikers out there. I plan on joining a good school when I get home, so I'm just lookin' for advice on stuff I can start working on now.

Here's my critique:

When you're punching keep your chin low, especially when you're throwing that 1,2. You do a pretty good job of working around the bag. In your fist vid at 1:04 you bring your hands down alittle low in that combination.

Your kicking seems to be pretty good to me, but it's been awhile since I kickboxed. AnnaT or Kid will probably have better info for you.

You have some power in your punches and your foot work is pretty good. All I can really comment on is keeping your chin low and your hands falling to your waist in some of your combinations. Maybe try working alittle bit on your punching technique.

remember your distancing, you are standing too close to the bag while doing nothing. move in, attack, move out. other than that looked pretty good _b maybe try and get more rotation in your hooks

In addition to what was said above, in the last vid your hads really start to drop when you're kicking. I've found that to be a good way to get punched in the mouth if your opponent is at all good at closing distance.

Thanks for the reply M2M. I noticed the hands drooping a little. It's funny how bad it looks from this side when it feels right when I do it.

Thanks Alex and Wolf. Distancing probably is a big problem for me since I don't get to do much sparring, but I'll try to work on it. And I'm definitely going to work on keeping those hands up.

Baytown, he was Kyo Sa Nim then, but I believe he is Pu Sa Bum Nim Tommy Nance now. It was alright at first, but I eventually realized I wasn't going to get what I wanted from there. Too Many Kids!!
