yeah, the idea of sitting in bed thinking to myself "blank out.... blank out... work sucks... damn! blank out!"... doesn't sound relaxing to me either, but i think i know what he means.

why does everyone have to be a comedian on here?
There are many ways to make your mind blank from relaxation breathing/meditation to concentrating on background noise like a soft radio or other audio effects. once you train yourself to just stop thinking about things before you go to sleep, you pass right out. Dreamy uses a physical method (writing stuff down and what not), i just meditate and listen to the sounds of the falling rain cd. -
