So I guess the title says it all. I'm looking for more vids of the competitions. Are there any plans for these guys to compete in full MMA? Are they looking to compete with Daido Juku/Kudo and Zendokai guys? I think there really needs to be a some competitions between the 2 groups.

Alright only because you asked nicely:
Just in case my embedding skills are weak;
There's also a better quality version for download but I can't find the thread where DerAuslander posts it.

Cool, thanks for posting the vid. I was pretty sure I knew what you were talking about, but just needed a kick to the head to remind me. AFAIK, its pretty much in its infancy in Korea, so don't expect to see it in the US anytime soon, unless its some TKD school trying to add crappling to their curriculum and ripping off the name - ala the Tukong Musool asshats in the US - in order to make a buck off of the popularity of MMA and BJJ.

I didn't expect there to be a school in the US. Daido Juku has been around since the early 80's and there aren't any school in the US. But I would like to see some of the training materials on it, and definitely some more of the competitions. I definitely want to see the spin they put on the fighting style.

Your kick to my head has jogged my memory. I first saw this video over on Budoseek last year and there was a pretty good discussion about what it is and isn't.

DerAuslander108 is the person to ask about it. He has been looking at going to Korea to train in it at some point. Though, I don't know if he still plans on it. There are currently no US schools though.

I doubt it's the Korean Gongkwanyoosool. I'd bet it was someone trying to take advantage of the name.

The thing is, I wouldn't be too surprised to see someone try and cash in on the name - like those asshats did with Tukkong Musool. It wouldn't be too hard for someone with a TKD background thats done BJJ for a while to open up a McDojang and market it as Gongkwonyusool. I think with the popularity of MMA right now that there is definately a market for it, and where there is a market sooner or later someone is going to come along looking for the quick buck.
