i've worked with JH Kim black belts before... and while there are some ridiculously mcdojo practices, there are some really good fighters coming out of there as well. Ask them if they have the friday night full contact sparring.
and gailyn is jung yeh dan. and i've heard of her. she can fight. i promise. -

I gave them a call and asked about the friday night full contact sparring, and they said they do. Should I go for it? I'm more interested in just learning cool kicks and flips lol, since I really want to get into tricking. Though I'm sure I'll get into sparring, it wont be high on my priority list.

If anyone knows of any decent sport-wushu or WTF-Taekwondo schools in the Seattle area, please do speak up :lol:Last edited by Taiyaki_MMM; 2/15/2007 8:21pm at .

I trained at a really good WTF school in Seattle. Great workout, regrettable name: http://www.tkd2xcell.com/. Very competition based. The head instructor competed a lot when he was younger, but now is a top ranked WTF referee (however that works).
Next to no class time is devoted to forms or self-defense one-steps after white belt (mostly if there's a belt test coming up). But looking at the website I guess there's one class a week devoted to this now. You can compete in forms these days, that must be why.
The school is non-profit (it was set up as a program to help kids, but there is an adult class), so you won't be shelling over tons of money like at a McDojo.Last edited by Babachewy; 2/16/2007 12:10pm at .

Does this seem like a reputable school?
