Because I left my wallet on your mother's nightstand. See that it's returned to me. ANd I know how much cash is in there.

Now that that's out of the way, I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for, but I think the true reason none of those martial arts win in MMA matches is because they're virtually ineffective when brought to the ground. I can generate all the power in the world when standing up...its basic physics. But once I'm on my back, my striking power is brought to practically 0. Thus, since Kung Fu, TKD, Ke?po, etc. all practically rely on strikes to finish fights, with little-to-no takedown defense studied in class, a BJJ guy will run all over them in a MMA fight. Couple the BJJ with a study of muay Thai or another striking art, and you have a very well-rounded fighter capable of winning MMA.

This isn't to say that all Kung Fu or TKD people are noobs on the ground. Just that 9 times out of 10 they had to cross-train in order to get their groundfighting up to speed with their stand-up game. I know I did.

its not just the groundwork mind, i have noticed that loads of kung fu, tkd dudes are "lethal" if you happen to be a wooden board, and only a certain type of wood, the kind that snaps when a 5 year old blows on it

At 15 where did you get this huge amount of experience with other arts?

KF tends not to do the board breaking.

well, im 16, and fightwise, i have enough, ive beaten tkd guys and kung fu guys, my friends father is master james sinclair the master of uk wing chun..google it. and tbh, in ring i have little experience, but i dont actually count ring experience as worthy, i like to know that i can take a faceful of knuckle without it having a soft padded feel to it.
but yeh, basic fact, that any of the older fighters will agree, tkd and kung fu are not "strength" based, meaning they dont actually value muscle, they seem to feel that power can come from somewhere else. which is fair , many people believe that, but they jus cant bring "focused" power to the real game, n they get left swinging at me while i proceed to hammer them in. which is not me being cocky , its truth

actually, i should make an apology here, kung fu stopped being a contact martial art years ago, and i shouldnt compare it to one, so i apologise, but tkd, whats their excuse :P
