I've been looking into a place in the Queens area, with Progressive one of the more attractive options, but the review comes off as more ad than objective piece.

When I started training I walked in and looked around, talked to the guys, and watched a little grappling class. They seemed to have a good curriculum. I may well join this school in the near future.
Thanks for this review, but I do agree with yodaman's critique of the review (post #2).

When I lived in Queens, a lifetime ago, I actually studied there for about 2 years. I believe I was one of the first students to sign up when he opened. I know I was part of his first class to take the phase 2 test.
The place was very good, very intense, but by their website I can tell things have changed a lot. I remember at that time Nick talked about how he would never have kid's classes. At the very beginning I'm pretty sure he said he'd never have women there either.
I'm sure the school has even gotten much better as Nick's experience grew. Even back then there were guys competitively kickboxing in local events.

Maybe it's just me but I find that sort of thing deceitful and instantly look to take my business elsewhere.

all 10s, this appears to be a totally unbiased opinion, good job following the guidelines.

Reviews like this should rightfully be regarded as a disgrace.
