Opinion on Chiropractors
I know people who swear by their chiropractors, and those who think that they're as much bullshido as dim mak is. Is there any conclusive proof showing either to be true? Has anyone here ever been to a chiropractor, and did it help? And perhaps the most important of the questions: What does TaeBo Master think?

i have been to various chiropractors and it DID help me, immediatly!
i mostly had blocked "parts of the spine"(excuse my english) and couldn't move my head or something. a few cracks later i could.
however i have been told that doing this often will hurt me even more in the long run.... idk

I have had great success with both short and long term treatment by chiropractors. For example, I recently injured my hip in training and was out of commission for 2 weeks. I went and saw a chiro and he was able to adjust my hip, identify what muscle was injured, and give me some good advice on treating it. A week later I'm back in training with no lingering pains. I also recieved a series of adjustments (over several months) after a car crash and recovered from whiplash and such with no lingering pain. I went to a chiropractor regularly as a child to fix natural problems with my posture and legs, and I feel I have benefitted from them, though I can't remember what my problems were as a child since I didn't really care at the time. I feel good now, though, if that says anything.

Actually, chiropractors should prove their claims. There are few legitimate, science-based chiropractors out there that are merely specialists on back and spinal injury. The ones that claim they can cure colds, allergies and other ailments that are "caused by nerve pinch" are pure bullshido. There is little clinical and scientific evidence to support most of the claims of chiro's."Those who can make you believe absurdities, can make you commit atrocities." Voltaire.

I went to a science-based Chiro and one of the quacks. The science-based guy was a MD and the quack was a "?". The science based fixed my problem. The quack did not.
Hope that helps.

A few years back the American Chiropractic Assc. or whatever their equivalent to the AMA is sued the AMA for repeatedly calling them a bunch of quacks and they won their case. I don't know how standardized the licensing is but there is an actualy "Doctor of Chiropractic" degree that a few schools around the country offer and it involves maybe about 80percent of the hours of a full MD. They are considered promary care providers and the ones with the DC degree are required to know when to send you to an MD. Like they can tell the difference between a lumbar problem and a kidney infection....Fighting evil and upholding justice in blue silk pajamas baby!
Bah!!! Puny Humans.

The ACA winning a law suit over the AMA really has nothing to do with science, or the scientific validity of chiropractor claims. The majority of DC's are quacks.

Just like any other professional, there are good ones and bad ones, trick is knowing who is who. Many if not all states have a Board of Chiropractic, that they must have a licence with to practice within a state.
Sometimes, opinions of chiropractors are not permitted in Court as to proximate cause. There is no hard and fast standard at this time. Many Chiropractors are whores. By that, I mean they actively recruit patients that were involved in auto accidents. They are worse than lawyers. The tactic is to get the injured into their office under some sort of "free" treatment and then switch them on to something they have to pay for. Next thing you know, they run up a huge bill. What they normally do is suck up all the Medpay a person may have. This fucks over the patient if they don't have hospitilization and need some other care, like an MRI or some other diagnostic test. So, anyway, once the Medpay is gone, the patient is miraculously better, or reached maximum medical improvement, and ot they go. Their notes are usually either fucked up or computer generated. Plus they include all kinds of extraneous things that are not relavant to anything. They send their **** to the insurance company, and **** up the cases. All they really care about is getting paid. Often, a visit to a chiropractor is more expensive than a visit to a specalist!
I know lots of chiropractors, I like one of them.
Something which I think needs special attention. If you have any numbness, tingling or radiating pain into any extremity, you should not have chiropractic manipulation because those are signs of a possible intervertebral disc problem. If you have disc damage, you should not be manipulated. Not all chiros take this into consideration. It fucking pisses me off!We are surrounded by warships and dont have time to talk.
