    Kudos man, kudos!!!

My dad is similar. He is turning 65 this March, and he has always been active in running and lifting. For his age, he is massive. Now he suffers from back pain and tendonitis in his elbows, so he has to tweak his workouts a bit.

He went back to Nicaragua and he lives in a small town that does not has a gym, so he takes a bus to go to a nearby town that has one 3 or 4 times a week. The way he's always been was what pushed me off the couch and into the bench.
Read this for flexibility and injury prevention, this, this and this for supplementation, this on grip conditioning, and this on staph. New: On strenght standards, relationships and structural balance. Shoulder problems? Read this.

My crapuous vlog and my blog of training, stuff and crap. NEW: Me, Mrs. Macho and our newborn baby.

New To Weight Training? Get the StrongLifts 5x5 program and Rippetoe's "Starting Strength, 2nd Ed". Wanna build muscle/gain weight? Check this article. My review on Tactical Nutrition here.

The street argument is retarded. BJJ is so much overkill for the street that its ridiculous. Unless you're the idiot that picks a fight with the high school wrestling team, barring knife or gun play, the opponent shouldn't make it past double leg + ground and pound - Osiris

My dad is crazy. He's in his mid 50's, and just took a job working 12 hour graveyard shifts at a printing press. It's insanely hard work. He's nuts.

Wow, Tomas. I thought my dad was a tough old goat. At 79 your dad takes the cake. Bad pun intended.
Shut the hell up and train.

An old family friend of mine (who is like a grandfather, but not related) is 92 years old, and still walks over a kilometre a day, and cooks huge dinners for 2 or 3 families at a time, on occasion. The guy even danced at christmas this year ! And plus he makes pretty much the best tabouleh in the world.

He's no muscle man, but to even be alive at 92 is a feat in itself! Let alone dancing..

your father sounds familiar to my own. He was shot up in Nam (recon 2 tours before medical retire) and it left him with a matchstick left calf (muscle atrophy due to nerve damage) with severe drop foot. Doctors told him he wouldnt walk without a brace and cane... He is a allround powerlifter that competes in all events with an impressive 630 squat (concidering he has to basically balance and drive with one leg) for his age group. He hunts, rides mountain bike trails, teaches m.a. (live sparing is like rolling around with a bear) and works out every day.
Growing up was basically boot camp but hey it made me a better person all around.
