The TKD head butt was mentioned as being important in old school dojangs in another thread. Does anyone have any information on this?
I read somewhere that headbutting was a sport/art mostly found in northern Chosun prior to the Japanese annexation. At least one famous kkangp'ae in Seoul during the '30s was famous for his headbutting skills.
I'm not sure how prevalent it was in other old school TKD dojang, but my first instructor taught us how to headbutt and did a few stacks of brick in a couple of demos with a headbutt. Always a crowd pleaser.
