"Elite Performance Gym is a thing of virile charm. A warehouse garage turned professional MMA studio: cement floors, exposed ceilings, Olympic-style weight set, an octagon steel cage, two handmade-by-Horn boxing rings, a sprawling wrestling mat, and Fairtex Muay Thai equipment galore. Garage doors that once opened to a loading dock, now serve to ventilate the sticky, leather-scented humid air."

I worked out with one of their members, Little Idea, who gave me my first BJJ/submission wrestling lesson.

Hey guys, I might be moving to Alachua, FL. I'm not familiar with the area or even what is close to that area. Does anyone know any good bjj, MMA, or judo clubs in that area? I would prefer bjj.

    Gracie Barra Birmingham, UK

Founded by Mauricio Motta Gomes, also affiliated with Roger Gracie and i'm not 100% sure on this but think Braulio Estima is the main instructor so the heritage is certainly here.

Will be able to provide more info by next week hopefully as i will be able to make it down to my first class.

    Class Fees:

    Single Class 8
    8 Classes / month 55 = 6.87 per class
    12 Classes 60 = 5 per class
    16 Classes 80 = 5 per class
    Unlimited + gym 90 = 2.81 / average of 8 classes per week

Check the site for training times, plenty of choice.

    Tulsa, OK

This is all the grappling of which I am aware in Tulsa.

    Triton Self Defense
    51st and Memorial

    Mikey's Gym
    11652 East 21st Street
Founded by Mikey Burnett, but he sold his share and is at Apollo's now.

    Apollo's Karate
51st and Mingo, 101st and Memorial, someplace in Owasso
Founded by a former champion kickboxer. Mikey Burnett is their grappling instructor. Don't let the kiddy MA fool you, there are some very good fighters here.

    Tulsa Top Team
    51st and Garnett
Home of 'Handsome' Matt Wiman and Beau 'OneManArmy' Taylor.

    Adams Muay Thai
    4107 S. 72nd E. ave.

    Tulsa Judo Club
Temporarily at 11145 South 82nd East Place in Bixby, I don't remember their permanent one.
One or two posters from here used to train there, but I forget who. Heard good things.

Yoon's Judo and Professional Tae Kwon Do Club
    2513 S. Harvard
Their grappling/MMA instructor is this guy:
I don't know anything about them.

International Martial Arts of Tulsa (Formerly Jensen's or Gibsons or something. Their website is down)
    4156 S. Mingo
One of my friends trains/trained there, said it was good. I don't know anything else.

Can anyone suggest good BJJ/grappling instruction in the Waco, TX area? I have a friend who lives there and wants to start doing BJJ but I have no idea what schools they have or how far the schools I found on google are from Waco.
