Solfish, do you know if it's exclusively bjj in the classes, their website seemed to suggest they teach a mix of stuff each lesson?

I believe it's going to be exclusively BJJ in these classes, I think they may teach some BJJ inspired stuff in their Karate lessons but that is seperate to the new BJJ classes...

It's pretty easy to get to the gym, you avoid the main centre of Brum.

Go from the M42 to the A41, I think it's junction 5 (to Solihull). Then just keep following the A41 until you get there.

    BJJ clubs in Ottawa

I'll be working in Ottawa for a year starting next month, and want to keep training BJJ (I'm currently a 2 stripe white belt at Gracie Barra Vancouver). From what I've been able to find on this site, I gather OAMA and Ronin are the two best places to go in Ottawa.

Can anybody on here fill me in on pricing, and give me their own take on the quality of instruction, facilities, etc. at those two schools.

    Thanks.

May be too late now, and sorry I couldn't PM you. Try 'The Garage' in Harrisburg. Here's the link. http://www.thegaragebjj.com/default.aspx
Brad Souders, who is Eric Grove's cousin (Eric is sort of a legend,BB in combat sambo and purple in BJJ), is opening an MMA school in York in March. Not sure if they have a separate BJJ program or not. Brad is a multi-stripe blue who now trains under Rogerio "Tatu" Taborda. Hope this helps.

For those still interested in Oxford BJJ...

    Classes start this Sunday.
Normal class times will be Friday 7:00 - 8:30 (I think, I may have written that down wrong)
    Sunday 6:30 - 8:00

    10.00! a session or
35.00 for just Sundays a month
55.00 for both Fridays and Sundays.

It's at the Aviators club in Kidlington...which I think is on the A44 towards Woodstock out of Oxford (basically head up to the A34 and get on the A44 from there)

I am thinking of starting a Cambridge BJJ/MMA society. Then we can violently beat Oxford BJJ (which will presumably have some students from Oxford) like we do in the league tables

Gracie Barra Birmingham, UK - New website up

Just gone up this week, looking good!

    http://www.graciebarrabirmingham.com/

Not all content is up yet but should be before long.

If you click on Media > Photo gallery > 2007 Seminars there are some pics of the academy in there.

BTW not sure if it does it on other browsers but on firefox does anyone else find a box keep popping up that says you need a new flash plug-in? I installed it but it still pops up, even though the flash works fine.

Props to Renaldo for the design, good job!
