Okay if you read a lot two people appear in those threads constantly myself and Omega. So, you may need to read more or you are reading the wrong threads. Heck, there is a thread in here discussing Omega's feelings on forms.
The hood mentality is crippling disease, that attacks your nervous system. It makes you nervous of the system. Gangsters and hood rats are especially susceptible to this growth stunting mentality. The hood is where I'm from, but it's not what I am. The hood is where I'm from, but it's not what I am. --Keith David--Ice Cube

Thank you omega supreme for providing history of your martial art training.
What I do not understand is how exactly is the 5 ancestor boxing/wu zhu quan is efficient in your combat/kickboxing bouts.
I personally trained nan/chang quan and TKD since I was 5, and took up TKD when I was 12. While they instilled mental toughness and discipline into me, they never helped me out in fights or cross martial arts sparring sessions. That was when I learnt muay thai and boxing and eventually BJJ.
While I do not doubt there is some inherent value in CMA and TKD, I do not understand how do they exactly contribute to real self-defense and MMA matches. -

You have to train CMA the correct way to get a benefit.
Go look in this thread:

If you didn't spar or compete similar to the videos in that thread there was little fighting benefit.Last edited by It is Fake; 1/02/2012 11:40am at .
