I have some rapiers; the antique ones and the historical reproductions aren't nearly as "whippy" as the one they tested. Some of the practice blunts I have behave just like theirs did. I believe that's what they used.

I watched that one too, and I'm almost sure the swords they tested were blunt. Look at the way they were handling them, the b-team would have ended up short several fingers the way their hands were all over the blades.
