    I'll second Ninjew's opinion. A friend of mine picked up Nativ's vids and I was impressed. He does all of his demos at more real-life speeds than most. The kata are hard and nasty. I like 'em.

    Let's not derail this thread talking about "secret techniques" :)

    Some day i'll upload to youtube a lot of aikido kaeshi waza clips for everybody to see, but don't tell anybody about it. Some instructors could send the NDS after my ass to avoid this techniques being publically available and having to deal with mid-ranked guys countering their half assed hippy dancing new ageish waza.

    Aikidoka are not normally -permitted- to counter their instructors' techniques, that's why they don't do it, rather than not having knowledge of how to do it.
    Lots of mind control in Aikido dojo, that's what makes it generally ineffective.

    People should study what Ueshiba actually did (of course no vids exist) during his many real challenges, rather than study what he wanted them to learn.
